My name is Kristina, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) living in Downeast Maine. I provide therapy/counseling and clinical assessment services to adult Mainers via telehealth and in-person office visits. I also provide ADHD skills-building sessions worldwide.
Mental health therapy focuses on helping individuals with emotional challenges, relational issues, and behavioral problems. A therapist uses evidence-based techniques and theories to assess and treat a wide range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, poor communication patterns, relationship struggles, and more. My style is to work collaboratively with clients at their own pace. I want to offer a safe space for individuals to embrace their uniqueness while developing resiliency and stronger coping skills tailored to their own needs.
Therapy should feel like having a supportive space where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind, to have someone listen without judgment. Therapy helps you explore your thoughts and feelings. A therapist is there to guide you, offer new perspectives, and work with you to develop strategies for handling challenges. It’s about finding ways to feel better and cope more effectively with whatever it is you’re going through.
My practice is neurodivergence-affirming, recognizing the experiences and unique challenges autistic and other neurodiverse populations face daily. I have experience supporting late-diagnosed adults. I am aware of the struggles rejection sensitivity, executive functioning, communication barriers, sensory overload, and more can bring to a neurodivergent person.
